Q. Why do I need to create an account?

A. You only need to create an account if you want to post content or to be able to "connect" to anyone. This is to help protect people from spammers and to also help prevent the posting of offensive or irrelevant content.

Q. How do I connect to other people?

A. Right now the only way to "connect" to anyone is if your or they have posted a forum message or a blog entry. At that point in time they can click on your user name to access your profile. From your profile they can either send you an e-mail or a private message. However, they will not be able to know what your e-mail is since we offer a contact form although the sender will have to provide you with their e-mail. This is to prevent spammers from harvesting your e-mail address.

Q. What is the Private Message feature?

A. Every person who creates an account with this site has an "inbox" this allows other users to send you a message without having to divulge their email address. This feature has been added so that you can send a message to someone “privately” meaning only the person you are sending the message too can read it and so that you do not have to divulge your email address.

Q. What is the "Groups" feature?

A. The groups feature allows you to create a "group" that you can then invite people to join. For example, I created a CBS group for current and former members of HTI's corporate business systems. By creating or joining a group you will be better able to connect with your friends and colleagues!
